Cynthia Roy accepting a gift from Board of Directors Chair Cliff Meness.
Since 1999, Cynthia has been an invaluable asset to the A/OFRC. She is the definitive source of information, no matter what sort of document we may be looking for or how far off the questions may be. Her extensive experience and intellect for finance, administration and human resources have proven an asset when new changes within the office were implemented. The office has since improved its efficiency and accountability in all respects. Within her eleven years, Cynthia has admirably fulfilled her Office Administrator role, as well as having prepared new managers, biologists and interns.
Cynthia has great respect for the Anishinaabe culture and with that, her enthusiasm to learn has resulted in many new relationships and hobbies. Her sense of humour has allowed her to fit right into many Ojibwe conversations (she is still trying to figure out which word is the right one for salt!) As a natural multi-tasker, she continues to juggle the many facets of work, home life, volunteering and leisure pursuits.
Cynthia graduated from Canadore College of Applied Arts in the Small Business Management Program and continues her involvement with the College as an alumni advisor for that program. She is currently working on attaining a Certificate in Human Resources Management.
