The Alderville First Nation, in partnership with the A/OFRC will be conducting a Muskellunge Spawning and Nursery Habitat and Wild Rice Assessment periodically from April through to August of 2012 in Stoney Creek.
The initial survey will commence when surface water temperature reaches 8°C and continue until the Muskellunge (Esox masquinongy) have completed their spawning run (approximately 2 weeks). In addition, the crew will set modified quatrefoil light traps and minnow traps approximately two weeks after the peak of spawning activity.
