A/OFRC Community Liaison Specialist Perry McLeod-Shabogesic helped conduct spring ceremonies at Nbisiing Secondary School this
past month welcoming in the Spring and honoring the fish, fisherman and Nipissing First Nation (NFN) fisheries department. The media was also in attendance to witness and spread
the news of the tremendous work done by the community in this area. Students of Nbisiing stepped forward to remind us to honor
the gifts of creation. These students were again at the heart of the celebrations opening and closing
the event with their thoughts, words and songs. The future is in good hands! Chi-miigwetch Nbisiing!!!
